Talent Show

Today we had a talent show between everyone at camp. There were some talented people that preformed. People that were really shy or I never talked to got up and sung really good. It was amazing to see people interact with each other like that. It was also interesting to find out what music some people were into. It was definitely my second favorite thing, behind the dance party.

Touring

Today we took a tour around campus. It was very interesting and I enjoyed it. The only thing I would have change was restroom breaks. Only because I had to pee really bad.

CHAMPIONS

Saturday we had the final parts for the Olympics. First we did the IceCube challenge. We had to scoop as many ice cubes as possible into a bucket with our feet. We then did ring toss and javelin throw. I then set a world record of 24 points. After that we took a break. My team (Green), was in third place. We then took to the last event. We had to carry a sponge from bucket to bucket and fill one up as fast as possible. It took a couple minutes but we got first place and won. We were the 2015-2016 Olympic Champions.

Photography

In photography class we need to take and submit photos based on lines, shape, value, mass, color, texture and space. At first I thought it was going to be easy but when I got outside, it was suddenly hard to find the categorized images. The picture below would represent space because of the vast majority of open space.

Gallery hop

Everything was basic until Turkish class. We were able to skype with a Turkish resident. They were just coming to an end for an even where they don't eat all day. It was interesting to ask questions and get super accurate answers. Later that day we went to a gallery hop. We walked from building to building looking at overpriced art. Overall, it was a good day

The second Thursday

The second Thursday was a normal day. Breakfast, classes, lunch, elective, and dinner. Nothing really special happened. So, therefore,  I have nothing to talk about.

On to the second day

First night was kind of hard to fall asleep. I'm not sure if it was because of the awkwardness or the fact that my sleep schedule was upside down. Whatever it was, it made it hard to sleep. I'm ready to see what were going to do today and also exited to meet all the people attending the camp along with me.I feel this will be a great experience to stay at the University of Kentucky for three weeks. I'm ready.
