Today we took a trip to Gods Pantry. While there we volunteered to help package cereal that would be handed out to people of need. We took a small bag and filled it to average out to 1 lb 8 ounces. We then filled up boxes with 12 bags in each. At the end of the day, we ended up packing 1800 pounds of cereal. We were also told that what we packed, would feed 1500 people. That's crazy! I had a great experience and would look forward to doing it again.
God's Pantry is one of my favorite places to volunteer. In your local community I am sure there are locations in your hometown that will also allow you to volunteer. Make sure to reach out when you get back home, check with your school counselor, possible the BETA sponsor, or family resource center for more opportunities to volunteer!
